There are exactly 168 hours in every week (7 days per week × 24 hours per day), and many of those hours are taken up by work, school, caregiving, housekeeping, grooming, exercise, commuting and all kinds of other responsibilities and obligations. If you live in Southern California and drive to work or school, just think about how much time you spend each week stuck in traffic! Demands on our time are real. And some of them are unavoidable and outside our immediate control.
As I discuss in the video below, there are only two things we do have complete control over: (1) How we think about things (mindset), and (2) the daily habits we practice. In my workshop on time management, I share an approach to beating procrastination based on David Burns’s cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
